چکیده

Purpose: This study was carried out to assess treatment outcomes of Forsus Fatigue Resistant Device (FFRD) used in correction skeletal Class II malocclusion through lateral cephalometric analysis. Subjects and methods: The conducted on ten male patients. Treatment followed leveling alignment till heavy 0.019 x 0.025-inch stainless steel archwires reached, then FFRD inserted. protocol ended when an overcorrected edge incisal relation obtained. Lateral radiographs were taken before therapy after completion FRD therapy. following parameters measured from cephalograms: SNA, SNB ANB angles linear measurement total mandibular length, ramus height corpus length. Measured dental maxillary incisors inclination, amount mesial movement first molar, overjet overbite. Results: had a combined dentoalveolar effect. It enhanced the sagittal relationships restriction forward repositioning. Dentoalveolar effects significant both arches enhancement overbite found. Conclusions: is effective correcting changes.

This case report presents the treatment of a 14-year-and-8-month-old boy with Class II division 2 mandibular retrusion, severe deep bite, and concave profile. The Forsus fatigue resistance device (FRD) was effective in correcting both skeletal and dental parameters. At 5-year posttreatment follow-up, the teeth were well aligned and the occlusion was stable. FRD application with appropriate trea...
